Rich and Hannah’s Wedding at Letchworth Hall Hotel

We had the pleasure of providing all day DJ entertainment for Rich and Hannah’s wedding at Letchworth Hall Hotel earlier this month, and what an amazing day it was! Despite it being the end of winter it was a beautiful day with the sun shining throughout. It definitely felt more like a day in Spring!
As we were providing ceremony music, afternoon entertainment, and the evening disco, it was quite an early start for us. Arriving at the venue at 10am, we began to unload our equipment and get to work.
Equipment set up
The wedding was to be taking place in two rooms. The ceremony in the Main Hall and the wedding breakfast and reception in the Allington Suite.
The ceremony was due to start at 1.30pm, so we planned to be all ready before 1pm at the latest.
First we set up the bulk of our equipment in the Allington Suite so it was all ready for the wedding breakfast. The bride and groom opted to have some wording they chose printed on our customisable DJ booth, which looked great once installed.
We then headed over to the Main Hall to set up our smaller, more discrete speaker system for the ceremony. After a quick set up it was time a quick sound check for the ceremony music.
Everything was set, we turned the speaks on… what was that?!
Very loud inteference, for the first time ever, from what sounded like walkie talkies!
Due to the layout of the hall we were using our wireless speaker system to avoid unsightly cables and trip hazards across doorways, so it had picked up nearby signals. But a quick channel change on our equipment soon solved the problem. Phew!
The ceremony
Guests started to arrive around 1pm so we began playing background music, songs specially selected by the bride and groom. Then, right on schedule, the bridal party arrived. First to walk down the isle were the beautiful bridesmaids and page boys, to the song ‘Can’t help falling in love’ by Haley Reinhart. Then came the moment for stunning bride Hannah to wow her guests and walk down the isle with her father David to the timeless ‘What a wonderful world’ by Louis Armstrong.
It was a perfect ceremony with lots of laughter, tears, and included some amazing readings by family and friends.
The wedding breakfast
At 3.45pm the guests made their way into the Allington Suite for the wedding breakfast. With everybody seated it was time for the grand entrance, and we announced Hannah and Rich into the room to a huge applause while we played ‘Raise your glass’ by Pink!
We then provided music while everyone enjoyed their meal, including some acoustic pop and rock as requested by the couple.
Following the meal it was then time for us to host the speeches, and then put Hannah and Rich in the spotlight for a bit with our Mr and Mrs Game!
Party time!
At around 7pm it was on to the evening reception. Following another grand entrance into the room Rich and Hannah cut their stunning wedding cake, and then danced their first dance together. The song they chose was ‘Feels like home’ by Chantal Kreviazuk.
Then it really was pary time! The couples playlist consisted of Pop, 80s, Motown, RnB, Indie, and Rock amongst others, with plenty of
dancing and shapes thrown throughout the night! It was an awesome atmosphere and guests were really enjoying our inflatables that we thew out!
The night then had to come to an end at midnight, with Rich and Hannah choosing ‘I will wait’ by Mumford and Sons as their last song. Cue a big circle of guests and some awesome dancing from the bride and groom! The perfect end to a perfect day.
So that was another day in the life of JN Sounds, a fantastic wedding enjoyed by all that we just didn’t want to end.
